Meet Darren
Darren joined Urth & Phire Ceramic Studio in 2024 as a partner and ceramic instructor. With over a decade of experience in the art industry, Darren has helped set-up, manage, organize and teach in multiple studios in Singapore. Through his teaching experiences, he has been known to be patient and thorough in his lessons.

A life through Art
Darren’s first brush with art was in 2013, as he started work for Vitruvius (M) Sdn. Bhd. located in Malaysia where he worked on major projects such as the Puss in Boots project by Universal Studios Singapore (USS) as well as visual merchandising for Duty Free Singapore (DFS).

In 2016, Darren was granted a $30,000 Tuition Grant by the Ministry of Education through portfolio enrollment and enrolled into the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, completing his Diploma in Fine Arts (Ceramics) in 2019.

Projects and Collaborations
Darren works with artists and businesses on collaborations as well as ceramic productions and visual merchandising projects in the private sector. He continues to expand his own experiences by joining the annually held Singapore Clay Festival as a vendor and handling ceramic production under the lead of Alvin at Urth & Phire Ceramic Studio.
